Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
This morning we will depart Kampala heading westwards through Uganda’s beautiful green countryside to Queen Elizabeth National Park as we start our big game safari. This will include a lunch stop in Mbarara and thereafter we continue through the savannah grasslands with many banana plantations and several of local long horned Ankole cows indigenous to this part of the country.
Day 2: Game drives and boat safari on the Kazinga Channel
We will wake up very early and set off at 6:30am for a morning game drive with an aim of catching sight of the early risers in their natural habitat. We expect to see the Big 4; elephants, buffaloes, lions, leopards and bushbucks, kobs, giant forest hog, hyenas, waterbucks and many birds. After lunch we will head to the jetty for an afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel that connects Lakes Edward and George. We expect to see number of animals along the bank and a variety of water birds.
Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking & game drive
Today we will have breakfast at around 6:30am and proceed to our Chimpanzee tracking in the forest located in the Kyambura Gorge in Queen Elizabeth National Park. This is very wonderful experience where we meet a small community of Chimpanzees. This experience usually takes around 3 hours round trip. After this we will return to our lodge to refresh, have lunch as we prepare for an evening game drive.
Day 4: Transfer to Kampala
After breakfast, we will depart Queen Elizabeth National Park with stops in Mbarara and at the equator for a photo shot. Lastly, we will arrive in Kampala and this will mark the end of our 4 days safari.
This tour includes;
